AES Pre-Kindergarten Program

Our Pre-Kindergarten program allows each child to grow and be challenged at their individual level of readiness. Children will learn important social and emotional skills as well as early math, literacy and science concepts. They have specials such as Art, Music, Physical Education, Indian Studies and Library time.

Our program takes its inspiration from the Reggio Emilia philosophy and is grounded in the Creative Curriculum that follows a two-year cycle. In year one, the unit studies are centered around the topics of Balls, Buildings, Trees, Clothes, and Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. In year two, the topics are Sand, Tubes and Tunnels, Simple Machines, Insects, and Signs. Literacy and Cognitive skills are embedded in these units of study to provide a wholesome development and academic success.

Pre-Kindergarten is a full day program which runs from 8:30 am – 3:25 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Wednesdays the program runs from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm.

We want to see curious, creative, caring and joyful learners. All of these qualities are addressed with care and intention in our school program.

We welcome you to AES and encourage you to explore the school.

We would love to hear from you!  ( )
