When should I submit an application for admission? |

The Admissions Office begins accepting applications on 15 November for the coming school year beginning in August. In any case that there is a possibility of relocating to Delhi, you should submit all required application documents and payments as soon as possible. |

Can I submit the required documents as they are completed? |
|
A. |
An application is processed only when all required documents and necessary payments have been submitted. Please send all required documents and fee payments together. Documents are welcomed by scan and email to admissions@aes.ac.in. If all documents are legible, the originals may not be required. |

Should I send my child’s achievement and extra-curricular award certificates to the admissions office? |
|
A. |
No. You should only send the required documents from the checklist, including any special learning needs documentation. If additional information is required, we will contact you. |

If I or my child hold a US passport is my child automatically guaranteed admission? |
|
A. |
No. All applicants, regardless of nationality and status, must complete the application process, be determined admissible and finally be formally accepted before a seat is offered. |

Q. |
How should my child's confidential recommendations be submitted? |
|
A. |
Confidential Recommendations are School-to-School documents and must arrive at the Admissions Office directly from either the teacher or the school. Confidential Recommendations may be sent via email, fax, or post in a sealed/stamped envelope. Obtaining the confidential recommendations is the responsibility of the parents, even during the summer vacation. |

Do I need an appointment to visit AES? |

Do all children receive interviews before an acceptance decision is made? |

A. |
No. Interviews are not required for admission. However, in certain instances an interview may be requested before a decision on admissibility is made. |

When will I know if my child has been accepted? |
|
A. |
Once an application is complete (all required documents and appropriate fee payments have been made) it usually takes up to a week to process the application. Please note that during peak times for application the review process may take much longer. Most admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. As AES nears capacity, non-US passport holders will be placed in the wait pool, according to priority category and seats will be awarded as they become available. |

Is it possible to sit in on a class or meet with a teacher, counselor or the building principal on a visit to the school? |
|
A. |
Due to the high number of applicants each year and to ensure that services to our current students are not compromised, applicants do not meet with faculty or staff outside of the admissions office. If there are questions the admissions office is unable to answer, we will get the appropriate information to you. |

Do you have boarding facilities? |
|
A. |
No. Students must reside with at least one parent in Delhi. |

Can my child arrive late as long I have paid the tuition? |
|
A. |
No. New students must be physically in their seat within 14 days of the first day of school or within 14 days of the offer of admission if admitted after the first day of classes. Otherwise, the offer of admission is void and the seat is forfeited. Returning students should refer to the school attendance policy for their particular division. |

Is the Application Fee refundable? |

No. The $300. Application Fee is a one-time non-refundable fee. |

When do I have to pay the Advance Deposit? |
|
A. |
The $2000. Advance Deposit payment is required by 1 May for August applicants. Anyone seeking admission at other times will be required to pay the Advance Deposit as part of the Application Process in order for their child’s application to be reviewed. |

Is the Advance Payment refundable? |
|
A. |
The Advance Deposit is 100% refundable prior to June 1 provided you have not declined a seat. What literature is available if I want my child to begin reading about India? |
| A. | Our librarians have compiled lists of worthy reads which are either non-fiction information books or great fiction set in India. Both lists are attached below and ready for download. |
