The purpose of this section of the AES website is to focus a well-deserved spotlight on our school’s impressive and continuing commitment to the environment. There are many aspects of AES about which we deserve to feel proud.  Arguably, one of the most important is our objective of instilling in our students an understanding of and a commitment to sustainable living on our shared planet. Ideally, their commitment will become both passionate and reflexive.  It is our hope that this site will:

• inform the broader AES community of what the school has accomplished to date
• highlight how AES defines & measures progress towards new environmental goals
• provide the community with useful information on how to reduce environmental impact in each of our lives (and where to find eco-friendly products & foods in Delhi)
• facilitate a forum for interesting articles and topics related to the environment.

As the first decade of the 21^st century comes to a close, climate change is clearly a growing concern as one of the most serious threats to the welfare of the human race (and all the other species with whom we share the planet).  It is vital for our students to recognize the challenges they face and responsibility they hold with respect to protection of the environment.
