The middle school art department offers two compulsory classes- the six week Art Exploratory in grade six and a semester of art in grade 7. Other art classes- Graphic Design, Photography, Ceramics and Sculpture and Studio Art- are offered as electives.

Studio projects involve a creative process of discussing master works, brainstorming, editing, problem solving, careful finishing and critique. We hope to give students fundamental perceptive and problem solving skills, as well as get them curious and ready for life long learning and appreciation in the arts.

We live by our philosophy that art is teachable. With some discipline, commitment and an open mind, each student will successfully complete and learn from the assignments in class.
