Re : Announcement of the AES Association Spring Meeting
On behalf of the Board of Governors and the entire school community we encourage all members of the AES Association to participate in the following important governance activities this month:
AES depends on its dedicated faculty and supportive community to achieve its mission. You are a voting member of the American Embassy School Association because you are either a parent or guardian of an AES student, or are employed by AES in a teaching or other professional capacity.
Election of AES Board of Governors:
We have twelve candidates running for the Board this year, and four vacancies to be filled. The elected members will serve for two years from June 1, 2013 to May 31, 2015.
You will receive an e-mail link to vote online on April 17th. You may cast your vote any time until 3:00 pm on April 24th, which is an hour before the start of the Spring Association Meeting at 4:00 p.m. You may also vote on campus at electronic voting stations at Gates 2, 5, MS Library, Open Hands or the main office. You are encouraged to vote for four candidates. For the few individuals who do not have an email account, or who prefer to vote on a paper ballot, they may obtain a ballot through the Office of the Director (contact Latha Srinivasan).
Meet the Candidates:
You will have two opportunities to Meet the Candidates on Tuesday, April 16th: 8:30-10:30 a.m. in the HOP and on Wednesday, April 17th: 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the HOP. The candidates' self-introduction will be followed by a formal Q&A session. We will also take questions from the floor. We look forward to seeing you at the HOP. Spring Association Meeting:
The results of the elections will be announced at the Spring Association meeting on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the Hall of Peace. We encourage your attendance at this meeting as this is also a quick way to get an overall picture of the School's operations and governance. Your attendance also helps ensure a quorum.

2. Report from the President of the Board of Governors, Mrs. Patricia Dhar
